What is the Student Referral Program?
Our Student Referral Program allows any student with a Perplexity account registered to your student email address to earn up to twenty-four months of Perplexity Pro (”Pro”) at no cost through referring friends via their unique referral link. Students get 1 month of Pro for each friend you refer.
The referral is only valid when a friend creates a new Perplexity account with a student email address. You can earn a maximum of 24 free months of Pro, which will stack on top of any existing promotions. This campaign ends May 31, 2025. This offer is limited to students who are currently enrolled at select universities.

What can I claim as part of the Student Referral Program?
In addition to 1 month of free Pro for every friend you refer, you can earn rewards based on the number of successful referrals you've made. We reserve the right to determine what qualifies as a successful referral, especially in cases of suspected fraud or abuse. 10 friends: Sticker pack
25 friends: Chip cap
50 friends: Classic logo tee
100 friends: Know it all hoodie
500 friends: headphones with $500 value
1000 friends: laptop with $1000 value
Each time you hit a referral milestone, you’ll automatically receive an email from us. In the email, you’ll receive a promo code for our merch store at perplexity.supply, which will be redeemable for 100% off that one specific item.
You must claim each merch item individually, since only one coupon applies per order. Here is a list of all countries we ship to. You’ll receive specific next steps in the email. For the headphones and laptop, you’ll receive an email for next steps on how to redeem.

In some countries, additional duty fees may apply to the delivery of merchandise rewards.
Why has my order been cancelled?
We understand it’s disappointing to have your order cancelled, especially when you’ve participated in our student referral program to win merch. Here’s why this may have happened:
When reviewing referral program entries, we carefully check for any signs of fraudulent activity. This helps us ensure fairness and protect the integrity of the program.
If we detect that a prize was earned through fraudulent means—such as fake referrals, using multiple accounts, or other activities that violate our terms—we must cancel the order for that prize.
We take these steps to make sure everyone has an equal and honest chance to participate and win.
